Johannesburg
TASHAS, MORNINGSIDE SHOPPING CENTRE
Tashas in the leafy suburb of Morningside remains one of my favorite spots … especially for a relaxed lunch. There’s an easy charm in the atmosphere, with friendly staff and patrons that reflect South Africa at its warmest. Set within the boutique Morningside Shopping Centre, it’s part of a vibrant strip of quality restaurants and convenient everyday shopping.
ALTO234, LEONARDO HOTEL, SANDTON
Alto234 is the ideal setting for a sundowner, perched high atop The Leonardo … one of Africa’s tallest buildings at 55 floors, rising 234 metres as its name suggests. The cover charge adds a sense of exclusivity and includes a complimentary glass of champagne. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sweeping views across Johannesburg are simply breathtaking, and invite a quiet moment to reflect on the rich history of our remarkable country
OLIVE & PLATES, HYDE PARK, JOHANNESBURG
Olives & Plates is tucked inside Hyde Park Corner, a destination known for its luxury boutiques, designer brands, and refined dining. You’re first drawn in by Exclusive Books, with its gleaming shelves inviting a quiet browse. And then gently leads you through to the welcoming space of Olives & Plates.
